3 mistakes in laying electrical wires

Easy to make and very onerous for the future use of the system. They appear most often, when you want to save time and reduce the number of electrical wires – often without realising the future impact of negligence. Which rules of proper wire laying do we break most often? Meet the top three!

Number one: routing wires between the individual points using the shortest route without precise descriptions. This may save some time and wire, but only until the first repair or flat renovation. We can guarantee you that the first unfortunate opening drilled in the wall can cause a failure, of which the impact will be very costly to resolve. All because the system was planned economically, not logically.

Number two: not following the core colours. We addressed this subject in one of our prior articles: A few words about colours. Following the colour codes specified for system components is absolutely necessary! What can be the consequences of not following them, while laying cables? The consequences are in particular threatening for 3-phase loads connected to the system. The voltage accumulating on the enclosure may expose the user to a serious electric shock. And yet you can use electric insulation tapes in the right colours to mark the wires in non-compliant colours.

Number three: unmarked fuses and wires in switchgear. Clearly described, they do facilitate navigating the individual system components.
